Common Questions

Cushing’s disease is perhaps the most well-known endocrine sickness found in canines. It’s a sluggish and moderate infection brought about by the overproduction of the stress hormone cortisol. Hair loss, thin skin, muscle squandering, weakness, excessive water intake, gasping, pot-tummy, recurring infections, and wrong hair coat are common. Treatment options include lifelong medication or surgery.

At the point when analyzed and treated early, the life expectancy for pets with hyperthyroidism or thyroid carcinoma is reasonable. With proper treatment, many pets can partake in everyday life for a couple more years. Though the disease will hinder their life more than an average life expectancy, treatments can propel your pet to a longer life.

Abdominal ultrasound and echocardiography can require mild sedation or anxiolysis depending on the patient temperament or anxiety. Our team prioritizes safety and comfort.

Your vet will advise; typically, no special preparation is required, abdominal ultrasound requires fasting.

Usually takes 1 to 2 working days but STAT reports can be requested if needed.

If your pet is critical and needs extended critical care we are happy to refer to a 24 hr clinic.
